Oddities...

A few things that came to mind when I was contemplating blog posts for this week:

I now realize why only on of the handles on every sink here works...no hot water means no need for a hot water knob!

  Mom, I do not weigh 118 Kilos (or 260 lbs!).

This past week I have been asked by almost every guatemalteco (at least 3 times this week) I have seen about how much I weigh.  They pressure and pressure until I tell them.  One even offered to weigh me when I said I didn't know the amount in kilos only pounds.  There was just no way around it...so now most of Guatemala knows how much a weigh.  A real oddity as I have been asking around and none of the other students have had this problem.

Back to the Bake Shop.  There are only so many things to see in Xela.  I am sure I haven't hit them all, but it feels like all the main ones.  Now things are starting to repeat...this time a view from inside.
